Seminal record label Sub Pop has leaked a copy of Nirvanas initial record contract, an endearingly simple little piece of paper. The two-year agreement, for three full albums, gets especially good when you see how much money Sub Pop had to pay for Nirvana for its initial one-year term advance: a whopping $600. Six hundred bucks well spent-- not that we had it at the time, said Sub Pop. After their debut album Bleach was released, Nirvana was upstreamed to a bigger record label which which released the Nevermind and In Utero albums.
