Our designers Bec and Sam Nolan, recently returned from a trip to Japan to shoot our winter 15 campaign. In keeping with the spirit of the incredible country that is Japan, here is an article reblogged from Monster Children, In Transit: Tokyo with Gabe L'Heureux. You can read it HERE.
Narita Airport, the main airport in Tokyo, is 40 miles from the city center but the travel time can feel like you’re in Los Angeles and sometimes take easily 2 hours. Most people take a bus to and from the city. Haneda is much closer and you can actually take a taxi there for about 100 USD.
A good fancy place to stay is Cerulean Towers in Shibuya. A cheaper Shibuya option is Hotel Excel. The last time we came we stayed at Hotel Unizo and it was pretty decent for a really good price and really good restaurants all over the place.
This is the best Kobe Beef spot in the world. Its ridiculous. Plan on spending $350 each though. Honestly the best steak you have ever tasted.

Upscale but minimalist japanese food. Great chef, quiet ambiance and a classic Japanese experience. Small dishes but epic flavor. It is in nakameguro which is great for bars and food.1-21-25 higashiyama nakameguro
