Skateboarder Tommy Carroll has been skating since he was 10-years-old, but the thing is, he has been blind since he was only 2. Tommy was born with cancer of the retina, and as it was caught late nothing could be done. However this did not stop Tommy from getting on a board and finding his ultimate passion, skateboarding. Skateboarding has also helped him get around in his everyday life; Im always constantly using the sound of my wheels to check if there’s anything in my way, he says. Gives me a sense of direction. This inspirational video is most certainly enough to touch anyone, even pro skater Tony Hawk who visited Tommy last June and spent the day shredding with Tommy.
