Found in New Zealand’s South Island, Blue Lake is known as the world’s clearest lake that has a visibility of about 80 metres. These photographs are the first-ever and only snaps taken of this newly discovered natural wonder, by artist Klaus Thymann of Project Pressure. With swimming and diving prohibited, these may be the only underwater photos you’ll see of this crystal clear lake. Thymann was was supported by New Zealand Department of Conservation and New Zealand Tourism.
