Mark Ronson and Tame Impala's Kevin Parker have teamed up for "Daffodils", which appears on Ronson's forthcoming album Uptown Special.

“Daffodils” is the Venn diagram overlap between Parker’s usual psych-pop comfort zone and Ronson’s trademark dance-funk, a combination that happens to sound a lot like early MGMT.

The album is set to be released January 27, 2015. Parker sings on three songs, and contributes instrumentation to several others. Somewhat randomly, most of the album's lyrics were written by novelist Michael Chabon. (When you've won a Pulitzer you can do whatever you want, it seems.) Hudson Mohawke, Miike Snow's Andrew Wyatt, and Simian Mobile Disco's James Ford also contributed to the album.
